Give-a-kid-a-book Campaign

The Brown County Library needs new, unwrapped books for children of all ages for its annual give-a-kid-a-book campaign. Baby books, children's books, teen novels and young adult books will all be appreciated! The books will be distributed to thousands of low-income children and teenagers in the area.

Drop off new, unwrapped books, by Monday December 10th. The UWGB collection box is located on the Plaza level of the Cofrin Library, across from the elevators.

Friends of the Cofrin Library and Phoenix Bookstore Raffle

WIN A $500.00 GIFT CARD From the Phoenix Bookstore!
You are invited to participate in the 4th annual
Phoenix Bookstore and Cofrin Library Raffle

Grand Prize: ONE lucky winner will each receive a $500 gift card to be used at the UW Green bay Phoenix Bookstore. The card can be used for textbooks (new or used), clothing, school supplies, gifts, or any merchandise in the store. Additional prizes include $300 and $100 gift cards. With the average cost of textbooks per semester at UW Green Bay being over $300, the raffle winner could have a whole semester of free textbooks.

Drawing: Thursday, January 3rd, 2008, at 2:00 p.m., in front of the Phoenix Bookstore on the 2nd level (Plaza level) of the David A. Cofrin Library. You need not be present to win. Winners will be notified by phone.

Proceeds: All raffle proceeds will directly benefit the UW Green Bay David A. Cofrin Library, its patrons, collections, and services. Previous textbook raffle proceeds have assisted the Library in purchasing reference works, music CDs and listening stations, display systems, computer chairs, popular magazines and books, microcard reader, digital camera and preservation supplies.
Rules: Any one is eligible to win. Any unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.
To qualify, entries must be postmarked by Saturday, December 29th, 2007.

Beowulf is one of best known books of all time and the oldest known surviving epic poem in Anglo-Saxon literature. It brings us themes of identity, passion, and what it means to be both a warrior and a King. Before you see the Hollywood version sit down with this most classic of classics and experience the written Beowulf. Book Salepalooza!

Book Salepalooza at the Cofrin Library!

Paperbacks, non-fiction, children's books, even old record albums, will be on sale for only $1 apiece all week, November 5th through 9th, Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.. The library is cleaning out the back room so bring your dollars!

Sale carts are located on the 3rd floor and the plaza level of the Cofrin Library.
