Book Sale benefits Libraries affected by Katrina
September 26 - October 24

Stop by the book cart located in front of the 3rd floor check-out desk and purchase a book to help in Katrina relief. Books are $1 and all proceeds will be donated to a national fund to assist libraries damaged in the recent hurricanes.

Individual donations can also be made by sending a check, payable to WLAF (memo: Katrina relief) and mailed to:

Attend a MetaLib Walk-In Workshop

• Tuesday: Oct. 4th from 2-3
• Wednesday: Oct. 5th from 10-11
• Thursday: Oct. 13th from 5:30-6:30
• Friday: Oct. 21st from 1-2

All workshops will be held in room CL304 on the 3rd floor of the Cofrin Library.

Why should I use Metalib?

• See the databases the library has--alphabetically or by subject area.
• Search up to 8 resources (e.g. online catalog, article databases, and selected web resources.) simultaneously.
• Search different resources using one interface, but still go to the original database for expert searching.
• Find the electronic journals we subscribe to and the dates of coverage.
• Save records you found for use later and create your own favorite lists of databases and e-journals.
• Link to full text and other options using the FIND IT service.
• Set up e-mail alerts to stay current on your areas of interest.
  

Metalib Search Service Unavailable

The Metalib search service will be unavailable until 9am Wednesday September 13th. You can still access the databases from the Databases A-Z page. If you are having trouble finding articles, please contact the Reference Desk after 8am at (920)465-2303 or send us an e-mail at refdesk@uwgb.edu . We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Wireless in the Library

Via wireless networking you can now connect to the campus network and Internet in the Cofrin Library. Wireless access is available on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th floors of the Cofrin Library. See the directions below to find out how to connect to the wireless network:

You can also plug your personal laptop into wired network jacks in the library on the 4th through 7th floors. You must provide your own connector cable to use the wired network jacks.
